DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The design of Dusky Diwali draws from the warmth and joy of India’s most beloved festival. The deep green bottle reflects the richness of pistachios, while its hand-carved cap, made from Jaisalmer yellow marble, takes inspiration from ladoos—one of the most loved sweets that symbolizes celebration in our festivals. The motif, inspired by Rangoli art, captures the playfulness and color of the season. Together, they turn the bottle into a keepsake of celebration, radiating warmth, sweetness, and light, much like the festival itself.

this scent is so warm and comforting yet complex. it brings me back to holdiays spent with family, light and sweets. it opens rich and warm the saffron giving it a depth setting it apart from traditional pistachio based perfumes. i think it’d be a great fall to winter scent as the profile brings in a cozy warmth that envelops you.

Dusky Diwali is such a treat to experience. Saffron is such a beautiful spice with a unique delicate sweetness that fragrance companies usually do not take advantage of. I'm so glad Ruhveda decided otherwise! Using the fragrance transports me to eating sweets at night under the moonlight, with incense burning around me. I love when fragrances town the line between traditional sweet and a more gormand sweet, so it is easy to say that this is my favorite perfume from Ruhveda so far! I'm so excited to see future launches, because Dusky Diwali has set the bar very high!

The first notes I notice when smelling Dusky Diwali are sandalwood incense, followed by what seems like a warm amber undertone. I also pick up a slightly tart or spiced quality, which may be coming from the saffron, fig, or salted pistachio. I don't really smell the rose.
Of the three RUHVEDA fragrances, this is my least favorite as it leans outside my usual fragrance preferences. However, I could see it appealing to someone who enjoys rich, smoky, warm scents with a slightly sweet and festive character.
This scent projects a mysterious, dramatic, and celebratory energy and I imagine it working well for evening events, celebrations, or colder weather, paired with jewel-toned outfits or richly textured fabrics.

This scent is rich and dusky - perfect for a classy night out. I love the notes of saffron and the nuttiness of the pistachio. Even though I usually reach for florals and citrus scents, I think it would be great in the winter!

Such a pretty scent! I've been loving a nutty note recently, and I'm really getting that salted pistachio. The saffron also is gorgeous. The carmelized amber and sandalwood amber gives it a bit of complexity and dries down very nice. It wears about 5-6 hours on me.
Love, love, love! It's not overly sweet and cloying like some gourmand perfumes. It's more of a refined gourmand with the pistachios in it. It actually does remind me of Indian sweets, but almost with less sugar in a way lol. Would definitely recommend this perfume for a not so sweet but refined pistachio gourmand.

All three scents are now go-to perfumes! I was worried I wouldn't like one of them but now I want a larger bottle for all 3. Each sent is so unique but fitting for any occasion.
This fragrance reminds me of a fragrant Indian tea as it is brewing! It is warm with a spicy but sweet scent! Honestly it is a very cozy scent that makes me think of the winter months and sitting by the fireplace with a book!
This is a really complex gourmand. There is some saltiness/ nuttiness from the pistachios while still being lightly sweet. It smelled even better on my skin after a few hours. It's like nothing I've ever smelled, in a good way!
I dont normally go for a gourmand, but the pistachio is so perfectly balanced! The sillage and longevity are perfect, exemplifying the quality of the perfume. The quality of the Travel EDP bottle shows how much care and artistry went into the packaging as well. I am so glad I have these in my collection and I will definitely be getting a full size of Dusky Diwali!

This was immediately my parents' favorite scent! It felt nostalgic, warm, and comforting. I love the way this scent can be layered! It is elegant, yet relaxed. I can totally see myself wearing this in the fall and winter in the US.
This scent smells as if you are walking into the temple during a holiday. Incredibly nostalgic for South Asians! It isn't too sweet nor is it very musky.
The spray comes off sweet but dries down a bit woody.

Sweet and salty pistachio balanced by saffron, amber, and subtle sandalwood with a hint of rose petals. Sweet, complex, and perfectly sultry. Perfect for day and evening.
This scent is so unique and wears extremely well both alone and as a layered fragrance. It’s nutty yet elegant and goes well with other vanilla scents you may already own!
